They belong to a part of the Muslim Religion called "Sufi". They kept insisting that this wasn't magic.... it was the will of Allah that allows them to do this and be protected. OK. I'm not going to bash anyone's beliefs. If that is what they think and they are not pushing it on me and it's not hurting me, GO FOR IT!.The most danger Desert Dochttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06783178800078257515noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3447654946420783412.post-75316651679193029452007-05-07T03:06:00.000+03:002007-05-07T03:29:36.536+03:00Reach out and call the one you love?Doc Here!Been a little busy the last couple of days with a MWR run, weekly reports and my turn on night shift. So I figured I better get off my ass and send this post out.One of the most useful things in my medical ammo is the reference material. I use the Special Forces Medical Handbook, a Family Practice Medical Handbook, a real good Derm book (with pictures) and the stuff I have accumulated onDesert Dochttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06783178800078257515noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3447654946420783412.post-87038963325944517422007-05-02T04:59:00.000+03:002007-05-02T05:06:53.360+03:00Prez vetos withdrawal billI got this off of Yahoo News. The Democrats want to post a timetable to withdraw and that is stupid. Yeah, it sucks being here. Yeah, they're fighting against each other. But don't you think that we have a responsiblity to kinda straighten stuff up here (as much as possible)before we leave. High speed, low drag, excitement around every corner it's not...... but the potential is there. Personally, I've had enough of that in my life so I'll leave it to the younger dudes. Most of the time you are at a remote site taking care of anywhere from 50 to 150 people with either you or you and another guy. Seems that the military has extended the expiration dates on various medications and sends them out. If you didn't know about this, you or someone was getting very upset for no reason. The biggest "theory" I can come up with on this is.......1. The drug companies want to sell more drugs.Desert Dochttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06783178800078257515noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3447654946420783412.post-44992120516602346542007-04-28T09:27:00.000+03:002007-04-30T13:12:46.965+03:00Quick updatesDoc here!Just spent some time putting on links and info on the page. I just wanted to start this blog off with a short intro and what I am going to discuss on this site. This will be the rational ravings of an underworked, overpaid, but somewhat appreciated remote site medic, currently in Iraq.
